A Mothers Day Stroll

This Mothers Day was one to remember, my first as a Mum of two beautiful girls and a day full of fun, love and laughter with just my Mum and my girls. After a filling and yummy roast dinner, we decided to take a walk around the woods surrounding one of our local National Trust properties, Saltram House. Toddler loved running around with her Grandma, finding sticks, jumping in puddles and squelching through mud. I took delight in watching them being silly together whilst I enjoyed some wonderful baby-wearing snuggles with Tiny Tot.

Splish Splosh Splashing through the puddles with Grandma.

Squelching through the mud (she wouldn’t leave one patch of mud untouched!)

‘Walking Sticks’

She just loves nature and being outdoors.

She really wanted to get to the mud on the other side of the gate.

We may have been naughty and finished our walk with Lattes and Rocky Road cake.

Tiny Tot enjoyed the fresh air, she’s so used to being outdoors already that I think and hope she’ll love nature just as much as her big sister.

‘I love my Mother as the trees love water and sunshine- she helps me grow, prosper and reach great heights.’

Thank you Mum for being you, and for being the most patient, kind and supportive Mother I could ask for. I love you.

  2. It looks like a fab walk and lovely that you could spend the days with your mum too (she looks very young for a grandma btw). I love watching our two bond with grandparents too, it’s great to see them playing and being silly together. Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather. 🙂 x
