10 Reasons why I need eyes in the back of my head:
- Mummy is cooking dinner, Toddler finds and opens a full put of Sudocrem nappy cream. Toddler calls for Mummy, Sudocrem is covering Toddler’s face, hands and clothes, the side of the sofa, TV unit and poor Tiny Tot’s forehead.
- Mummy is sorting out dishwasher and cleaning kitchen. Toddler climbs onto dining room table, locates pot of PVA glue and manages to take the lid off. Toddler gives herself a very sticky wash with the contents of the bottle.
- Toddler wants to wash her hands, goes into cloakroom, turns on tap, puts plug in sink and proceeds to flood the room.
- Mummy or Daddy leave small amount of Tea or Coffee in mug, Toddler wants to drink said liquid. Toddler dribbles and spills drink leaving both clothes and carpet stained.
- Toddler wants Nutella on Toast for breakfast. Mummy leaves living room to make herself breakfast, returns to find Nutella smeared across the TV screen.
- Mummy pops to the toilet, Toddler heads into kitchen, opens whatever she can find- cereal, sugar, flour etc and pours entire package onto floor.
- Daddy leaves pen on the side, Toddler finds pen and decides Mummy’s recipe book needs extra instructions.
- Mummy gets given a gift in a box filled with polystyrene. Toddler pulls out polystyrene, breaks it into tiny pieces and sprinkles across the entire Living Room floor.
- Toddler is brushing her teeth, leave room for two seconds and return to find her Tooth brush has been thrown into the toilet.
- Mummy and Toddler are eating lunch, Tiny Tot wakes from her nap so Mummy goes to collect her. In the matter of seconds that Mummy is gone, Toddler paints herself and walls with Baked Beans and Tomato Ketchup.
If anyone develops a way of growing eyes in the back of your head, or the ability to be in two places at once please point them in my direction. Things are getting desperate!
What does your Toddler get up to when you leave the room?
You climbed into the tumble dryer and quietly hid there while I went frantic looking for you! I even looked outside the door even though there was no way you could have reached the handle. You also painted the washing machine glass front with your sister while I answered the phone. Toddlers give us endless amounts of frustration and joy. I guarantee you will look back on this year with mote joy and laugh about the other bits 🙂 x

These are brilliant snippets of life to keep for when she’s older! No matter how hard you try they will find the one thing that will cause chaos!

I look forward to winding her up about it when she’s older, I know my Mum enjoys telling me about all the silly things I did as a child (and still do now!) x

And you have photographic evidence! I love hearing stories that go with photos from my childhood that I can’t remember.

I used to tell my kids I have eyes in the back of my head because they couldn’t figure out how I knew what they were doing, LOL! My youngest used to do something on purpose just to see if I would catch him. He was about 4 or 5 at the time. It doesn’t work on them anymore though. At 9 and 14, they aren’t falling for it anymore:) Popping over from #bigpinklink

I wish I knew what she was always up to, she’s such a cheeky monkey! I can imagine they definitely wouldn’t fall for it at their age, I suppose that’s when you have to come up with some other tactics 🙂 thank you for reading x

Oh yeah now I threaten to take their video games away or unplug their computer, lol! I have learned that as the kids get older and more creative so must we parents get more creative, lol!

Oh gosh – the glue one must have been so hard to clean up!! You definitely need eyes in the back of your head. They know when you are distracted with cooking, cleaning or talking on the phone – they choose their moments wisely lol Thanks so much for linking up with blogger club uk x

Haha so funny! Things like this happen to me on a daily basis. I once had a whole bag of flour spread all over my kitchen. You’ve gotta laugh or you’ll cry!

This really made me chuckle! Love the pics. I have all of this to look forward to. My friend used nail varnish as lipstick when they were a child, and when I was 4 I ate one of those bath oil things that are in shapes (this was a dolphin) because I thought it was a sweet- that’ll serve me right for snooping in my sister’s room! Kids, eh?! #bigpinklink
